Drake reveals home flooding due to heavy rainfall in Toronto, today.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the Toronto rapper shared a clip of water rushing into his home – seemingly ankle deep – as he and others scrambled to block incoming water.

According Environment Canada, the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions received approximately 4 inches of rain on Tuesday (July 16), marking the fifth wettest day on record since 1938. This total surpasses the typical July average of 2.9 inches for the entire month.

“We’ve received more than a month’s worth in a day,” Environment Canada meteorologist Trudy Kidd said in a statement. The heavy rainfall, combined with winds nearing 55 mph, led to power outages, disruptions to transit service, road closures, and other issues for residents.

In related news, the “Hotline Bling” rapper appeared to signal a change in location by purchasing a sprawling ranch in Brenham, Texas, earlier this year. The 313-acre property, acquired for $15 million, was originally constructed as a family retreat in 2000 and was recently converted into The Inn at Dos Brisas, a luxurious estate located between Austin and Houston.

Originally listed at $17.5 million, the property features world-class equestrian facilities, an organic farm, and numerous luxurious amenities. These include Spanish-style architecture, four casitas, an entertainment lodge with a pool, full bar, commercial kitchen, dining room, and climate-controlled wine room. Additionally, the ranch offers several ponds for fishing, pecan tree-lined creeks, and picturesque views of the surrounding landscape.

Drake hinted at plans to settle outside Ontario during a performance at the Toyota Center last year, though the timing of his relocation remains uncertain. Last month, he offered a first look at his new real estate venture by sharing a series of snapshots posing on the property with the caption “Wick em’.”
