Eminem says he will perform his last trick this Friday when he releases his new single, “Houdini,” from his upcoming album.
On May 20, Marshall Mathers teased an upcoming track on Instagram and then posted a Facetime conversation with legendary magician David Blaine on Tuesday (May 28). “I was wondering, how far can we go with this magic? Like, can we do like a stunt or something?” Eminem asked Blaine.
During the conversation, the rap icon discussed magic, leading him to announce that he would perform his last trick: making his career disappear. “Well for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear,” said Em as he ended the call with a confused Blaine.
“Houdini” will be the lead single from Eminem’s forthcoming record. In April, a promotional trailer about the death of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady, was released featuring 50 Cent. Eminem’s 12th album, The Death of Slim Shady, will come after his 2020 release Music To Be Murdered By (Shady/Interscope).
Eminem gave away his daughter last week as she married her longtime boyfriend in a private ceremony in Battle Creek, Michigan. Em and his daughter shared a memorable father-daughter dance with 50 Cent and Dr. Dre in attendance.
