Eminem joins 50 Cent in dissing Diddy following the mogul’s recent legal drama.

Released on Friday (July 12), the Rap God didn’t hold back in his highly-anticipated new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace). Known for his fierce lyricism, the 51-year-old recording artist targets several hip-hop insiders, including Diddy, referencing the mogul’s infamous hotel assault video. This conceptual album explores the “mind of a hater” and critiques “complainers,” particularly on the opening track, “Renaissance.”

Eminem explores his own alter ego on the new album, ending his Slim Shady persona. It’s clear from the start that no one is safe from his biting commentary on his controversial past.

Fans were particularly intrigued by his repeated jabs at Sean “Diddy” Combs, highlighting past allegations of sexual assault. Eminem’s sharp critique of Diddy’s fame and past actions stands out as one of the most striking elements of the album.

On May 14, Eminem teased fans with a faux obituary for Slim Shady in the Detroit Free Press. This inventive marketing strategy led to one of his best works. Fans were also advised via social media to listen to the album in order.

On July 11, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Public service announcement: the ‘death of slim shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”

Eminem’s bold approach and innovative promotion have created significant buzz around the album, cementing his reputation as a masterful storyteller and provocateur in the world of hip-hop. 50 Cent, Eminem’s protege, has been commenting on Diddy’s sexual assault allegations since the first report surfaced.
