After multiple efforts to help keep the restaurant afloat, Flavor Flav secures a signature meal deal with Red Lobster.

On Monday (July 1), the seafood chain shared the news in a press release, and even the Public Enemy MC couldn’t resist joining in on the excitement.

“As a long-time Red Lobster fan, I’m fired up to bring a little bit of my own flavor to fans with a meal featuring my seafood favorites,” Flavor Flav said in a statement. “You gotta get to Red Lobster and give it a try because this signature meal is hype, boy!”

“When you have someone like Flavor Flav who shows their love for a brand by ordering the entire menu, you know there is a lot more fun to be had,” added Sara Bittorf, Chief Experience Officer at Red Lobster. “Flavor Flav’s passion for Red Lobster is unmatched and we’re excited to bring our guests a flavor experience unlike any other.”

According to reports, patrons can enjoy Flavor Flav’s Faves, which includes Maine Lobster Tail, Snow Crab Legs, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Bacon Mac & Cheese, and a side of choice. It’s worth noting that the off-menu off-menu meal won’t stick around forever and won’t show up on the regular menu.

In June, in an effort to support the recently bankrupt restaurant, Flavor Flav made headlines by ordering the entire Red Lobster menu.

The rapper-turned-reality star took to Instagram to showcase a lavish feast, ordering every item available on the Red Lobster menu for his family.

“Ya boy said he wuz gonna do everything to help Red Lobster and save the Cheddar Bay Biscuits,,, ordered the whole menu,” read the caption of a photo featuring an impressive spread, chockful of fish and chips, popcorn shrimp, chips and dip, the ever-popular Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and a Bar Harbor Lobster Bake, among other items.

According to the Associated Press, Red Lobster sought bankruptcy protection in May following the closure of numerous locations nationwide. Still, the company assured its commitment to keep the doors open for its 600 restaurants as they seek a buyer. “This restructuring is the best path forward for Red Lobster. It allows us to address several financial and operational challenges and emerge stronger and re-focused on our growth,” CEO Jonathan Tibus stated.

Court documents obtained by the outlet indicate that Red Lobster employs approximately 36,000 individuals across the United States and Canada — operating 551 U.S. eateries and 27 locations in Canada. Additionally, Red Lobster also boasts franchises in Thailand, Ecuador, Japan, and Mexico.

In a statement shared the day of the filing, Red Lobster said it would “drive operational improvements, simplify the business through a reduction in locations, and pursue a sale of substantially all of its assets as a going concern.”
