Flavor Flav has announced his return to reality TV, this time embarking on a journey to pursue higher education.
On Saturday (March 16), the Public Enemy MC spoke with TMZ, where he revealed details about his quest to obtain a high school diploma.
“Some more reality TV coming up for [me] but no dating shows! It’s not the dating show thing, man,” he began. “I’m going back to high school to get my diploma! That’s what my show is going to be about. Flavor Flav goes back to high school to get his diploma and I’m getting it for real. Not a GED, bro. I want my diploma.”
Recognizing the significant changes in curriculum since his school days, he added, “If I want that diploma, it’s just something that I ain’t got no choice but to adapt.”
In 2006, Flav captivated reality TV audiences with the dating game show sensation, Flavor of Love.
In the three-season series, twenty single women vie for Flavor Flav’s affection, residing in a Los Angeles pad while he selects his ideal partner.
Although not actively seeking his leading lady, the rapper recently showed love to Billie Eilish, who captured his heart at this year’s Oscars.
Earlier this month, the two met at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in Los Angeles, where he surprised the “Ocean Eyes” hitmaker with a personalized, Barbie-themed clock chain to compliment his own.
In a TikTok video capturing the moment, the 22-year-old singer was visibly amazed by the gift, flashing a larger than life smile as she proudly displayed the diamond-adorned chain to the camera, while standing alongside Jon Batiste.
The timing of the gift was impeccable, coinciding with Billie’s second Oscar win for Best Original Song for her contribution to the Barbie movie soundtrack, with “What Was I Made For?”
