GloRilla Says Her Debut Album Is On The Way

GloRilla has revealed that her highly-anticipated debut album will be coming next month. Extra TV caught up with the Memphis native on the red carpet at the 2024 MTV VMAs. The rapper told the outlet she’s “excited” about the new project. She also hints at the album’s possible title: “We gon’ go number one! [The title] starts with a G.” In April, GloRilla dropped off her Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape.

The tape featured two hit singles, “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be” ft. Megan Thee Stallion. GloRilla burst onto the scene in 2020, following the release of her hit single, “F.N.F.(Let’s Go)” One year later she dropped her EP, Anyways, Life’s Great. Along with the aforementioned track, the project spawned hits like “Blessed”, and “Tomorrow 2” ft. Cardi B. At the 2023 Grammys, she earned a nomination for Best Rap Performance. At only 25 years old, the rapper has already made a name for herself. For fans of hers, the journey is only just beginning.

GloRilla’s New Chapter

In other news, the city of Memphis honored the hometown hero GloRilla with the Key to the City on Sunday, Sept. 1. “Memphis made me; Frayser raised me,” she said as city officials in Downtown Memphis presented the key to her. The “TGIF” hitmaker shared the moment on social media, captioning it, “Memphis made me; Frayser raised me. I got [the] key to my city. Happy 901 Day, Memphis!”

Last month, GloRilla shared a snippet of her verse on the remix of Rob49’s single “Mama (Remix).” “Come get you a gang member, bae, we young and turnt and havin’ motion,” raps Glo while covering her breast and flaunting her slim, thick frame. “That lil’ ho a small fry, ain’t on shit, I’m baked potato loaded (Pussy) / Ooh, give me dick, dada / Them back shots get me thick, dada (Thick).”
