GloRilla has her sights set on motherhood but through surrogacy.

In a candid conversation on “Out of Context,” the rising Memphis rapper revealed that when the time comes, she plans to have a child through surrogacy rather than the traditional route.

During the interview, which aired on Monday (Oct. 14), Charlamagne asked GloRilla if a line from her song “PROCEDURE” with Latto—“This n**ga tryna get me pregnant, I need to tie my tubes”—was inspired by her real life. Without missing a beat, she confirmed, “Yeah.” When pressed on how she would handle pregnancy, she joked, “1-800,” implying she’d seek help elsewhere.

The “Wanna Be” rapper clarified her future plans for children, explaining, “I do want to have kids, but I don’t want to carry them myself. I want to use a surrogate. I want them to have my DNA, but I don’t want to go through the pregnancy.”

She laughed, “All my friends have kids, and they’re so restricted when they’re pregnant. I’m like, ‘Nah, I don’t want to deal with that.’” Even when the host pointed out that pregnancy only lasts nine months, GloRilla wasn’t swayed, simply responding, “That’s too long.”

Beyond her personal life, the Memphis star touched on her collaboration with fellow rapper Sexyy Red on “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME,” a track that samples Boosie Badazz’s 2000s hit “Wipe Me Down.” GloRilla shared that fans had been eagerly awaiting their partnership. “The world wanted me and Sexyy Red to collab, so we had to make that happen,” she said. “I thought, ‘OK, this is a fun track. This sounds like something she would kill.’”

It seems the two may have more in store for fans, as GloRilla teased additional music they’ve recorded together. “We were in the studio working, and we actually did another song,” she hinted.

“WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” is just one of the standout tracks from GloRilla’s debut album GLORIOUS, a 15-track project highlighting her versatility. The album also includes pre-release singles like “HOLLON” and “TGIF,” along with features from heavyweights like Megan Thee Stallion, Kirk Franklin, Muni Long, T-Pain, and others, solidifying GloRilla’s place in the spotlight.
