Halle Berry is celebrating 20 years of the hit film, Catwoman, with steamy new photos.

During a recent interview, Berry reflected on the film and her newfound love for cats. “I became a cat lover because of it,” said Berry.

“I just rescued four kitties I found in my yard three weeks ago,” she continued. “I’m a Catwoman through and through, because of that experience and those relationships. That experience changed me.”

The film hit theaters in 2004 and is described as “a shy woman, endowed with the speed, reflexes, and senses of a cat, walks a thin line between criminal and hero, even as a detective doggedly pursues her, fascinated by both of her personas.”

Berry recalled how she prepared for her role as Catwoman. She says she was given a cat “early on” during the production process “because I didn’t have one.”

“His name was Playdough. I watched, studied and learned how cats think,” she continued, explaining, “I didn’t have the responsibility of children and family; I was just a woman alone with a lot of idle time to focus on this.”

Berry added, “I’d crawl around my house, trying to jump on my counters, thinking, ‘If I were a cat, how would I get up there?’ I was in it 24/7.”

The actress shared a series of photos on Instagram celebrating the anniversary of the film. “And STILL… meow!” she captions the photo dump.

“It’s been 20 years today since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life. She will always be close to my heart and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka CATWOMAN!”

“Thank you @missjee79! When these black beauties showed up in my yard searching for their mother, Jee helped us through the rescue process. Forever grateful!”
