Ice Spice announces her highly-anticipated debut album, Y2K, which arrives on July 20 via Capitol.
The 24-year-old shared the date as she revealed the album’s cover art with her fans on Wednesday morning (June 5) via Instagram. The post captioned with, “HIIIII >.< Y2K ☆ THE ALBUM WILL BE DROPPING JULY 26TH !!!! pre-save the link in my bio now .**”“
The “Deli” hitmaker revealed the upcoming album in January on the Today show. Y2K follows Ice Spice’s 2023 EP, ‘Like?,’ featuring Nicki Minaj and Lil Tjay released in July 2023. Her collaboration with MTA, high-profile festival performances, such as this year’s Coachella, and guest appearances on buzzing new music, like Cash Cobain’s “Fisherrr” remix, have built anticipation for her debut. She has promised to deliver iconic features on her debut album.
Ice Spice’s trailblazing success began in August 2022 with her debut single, “Munch (Feelin’ U).” She followed up the debut hit with multiple chart-topping singles “Princess Diana,” “Bikini Bottom,” “In Ha Mood,” and “Boys A Liar Pt.2” featuring PinkPantheres.
The award-winning new artist’s overwhelming popularity led her to collaborations with superstars such as Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. Ice Spice released her latest single, “Gimme A Light,” sampling the Sean Paul classic, last month.
Currently, Ice Spice is shooting her acting debut in High and Low, starring Spike Lee and Denzel Washington. In February, fellow New York rap star A Boogie With Da Hoodie crowned Ice Spice the convenient title of “King of New York.” Fivio Foreign would immediately refute the claim.
