Last night, Fat Joe and Ja Rule put on for New York City, respectfully.
The two icons went head to head and hit for hit during their VERZUZ battle and they even had a few surprises for the audience. Here’s everything that you missed from the epic show.
Ja Rule Brings Out Vita And Lil Mo:
During his turn, Ja Rule was taking the audience back with his classic hits. However, there was a particular song fans knew that he couldn’t perform by himself. Ja Rule brought Vita and Lil Mo to the stage so that they could perform “Put It On Me.”
Fat Joe Brings Remy Ma To The Stage And She Disses Ja Rule
Ja Rule wasn’t the only one to have a surprise up his sleeve. During his turn, Joe brought out Remy Ma, causing the crowd to go insane. At the end of her performance, Remy jokingly dissed Ja Rule.
Ashanti Couldn’t Pick A Side
Last night could’ve been easy for Ashanti. The R&B singer came out to perform “Mesmerized’ with Ja. After that set was over, Fat Joe also decided to keep Ashanti on stage to perform “What’s Luv” and Ja would end it with a performance of “Always On Time.”
Fat Joe Gifts Remy Ma And Ashanti With Birkin Bags
Fat Joe decided to show his appreciation for both Remy Ma and Ashanti by gifting them new Birkin Bags.
Ja Rule And Fat Joe Surprise The Crowd With A Performance From
Ja Rule and Fat Joe were highly celebrated in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Towards the end of the show they both showed their love for each other and for the fans. They closed out the show together by performing “New York” and they even had Jadakiss do his verse as well.
