The R&B singer Jacquees and his fiancée, Deiondra Sanders, welcomed their new baby on Friday (August 9). It’s a boy.
Jacquees shared heartwarming photos from the delivery room, beaming joyfully as he welcomed his newborn. The images also featured the mothers of Jacquees and Deiondra, the daughter of Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, capturing a moment of pure happiness and family unity.
In a post on Instagram, Jacquees revealed that the baby was born at 9:57 a.m. in Atlanta, weighing six pounds and 13 ounces and measuring 18 inches in length. Deiondra’s caption reflected the journey they endured to reach this moment: “Through every challenge — the fibroids, threatened miscarriages, shortened cervix, the cerclage, the myomectomies, the wisdom of age (keep it cute lol), the possibility of placenta previa and taking my entire uterus, the bed rest and the rest of the prayers to reach 28 weeks — by the grace of God, we made it.”
Her gratitude was palpable as she concluded, “I can’t do anything but praise Him! Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus.”
Adding a special layer of significance, the couple’s son was delivered by the same doctor who brought Deiondra into the world. Remarkably, the baby shares a birthday with his grandfather, Deion. The joyous occasion comes just weeks after the couple celebrated their engagement on July 15.
Jacquees released his latest installment in his popular Que Mix series in July. The fifth edition supported his performance at last month’s Essence Festival in New Orleans. The Cash Money artist also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Birdman’s label, which includes classics by Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, B.G., and more.
