Jagged Edge’s Brandon Casey In ICU After Bad Car Accident

Jagged Edge’s Brandon Casey revealed on Instagram Tuesday (July 16) that he was involved in a car accident last week and has been hospitalized in the Intensive care Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.  

The singer shared a photo of a hospital chart on his Instagram account, thanking the hospital for their care and saving his life. In the post’s caption, Casey revealed he sustained a broken neck, ribs, skull fracture, and scalp lacerations. It reads: 

“I have to send a big thank you to @grady.hospital after being in iCU for five days I know the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything it’s said to Be the Best in the country y’all saved my life, and I’m forever grateful.. I’m so Thankful to all u ladies who took care of me, nursed me fed me encouraged me Thank you from the bottom of my heart the most sincere Thanku I can conjure up I know people wanna know so here it is: Broken neck 5 broke ribs skull fracture scalp lacerations and a bunch of pain all over my body but ima be good I promise yall God got me it’s like sumthin tryna take me off this planet and god keep tellin em nope not him not yet … all praises to the most high most awesome most wonderful God Thanku lord!!!! From your loyal soldier.”

The singer was involved in his second accident within a year after being involved in a severe car crash in September 2023. Then, Brandon shared a photo of a totaled vehicle, captioned: 

“When u know god got u through it you gotta say Thanku u gotta feel gratitude not just speak it Thank you, Father, I know I wouldn’t be here without ur grace and mercy I’ll prolly never be the same but I’m so grateful I’m here Thanku Jesus!!!!”

Brandon and his twin brother Brian are the lead singers for Jagged Edge, including Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman. They signed with Jermaine Drupi’s So So Def in 1995 and reigned on the R&B charts in the early 2000s with classic songs such as “Promise,” “Where The Party At,” and “Let’s Get Married.”

Releasing their latest album, A Jagged Love Story, in 2020, the group released a new collaboration with Jack Freeman entitled “Undress (Remix)” in June.
