Jeezy‘s ex-fiancée and his former nanny, have come to the rapper’s defense following allegations of abuse by his ex-wife, Jeannie Mai. The two women filed affiliates speaking to Jeezy’s character. Court documents obtained by HipHopDX, reveal that Mahlet Gebremedhin — the mother of his older daughter, Amra — says the rapper is a “devoted father” and had never been abusive toward her or their child.

“I’ve witnessed Jay be a devoted, caring, and present Father to our daughter and his oldest child [son Jadarius],” the court documents read. “For almost four years, Jay’s eldest child lived with us and I was able to see their relationship grow every day. At no point was Jay ever physically, mentally, or emotionally abusive to his children or I.” The rap artist’s former nanny, Minhee Hoffler, describes Jeezy as a “hardworking man” and father.

“I’ve witnessed Jay [Jeezy] be a devoted, caring, and present Father,” Gebremedhin wrote in court documents

“As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins gives his daughters the support they need as they grow into young women in the future. Mr. Jenkins is a hardworking person, but even a more hardworking dad,” she wrote in court documents. Jeezy also received support from two other women, friends Robyn Wallace, and Shelley Nichols. Nichols is the wife of the rapper’s close friend and real estate broker. The former The Real host and Jeezy began dating back in late 2018. By 2021, the pair had tied the knot and had their first child Monaco by January 2022. However, the couple’s relationship had taken a turn and led them into a nasty child custody case.

In April, Mai accused Jeezy of being abusive throughout their relationship. Regarding one incident in particular, Mai claims that they got into an argument in a parked car and he hit her with a closed fist in the face. Mai alleges the punch caused a hemorrhage. Jeezy vehemently denied Mai’s claims and said he was “deeply disturbed” at the thought of it. He also called the move a “malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family.”
