Jennifer Lopez’ upcoming Las Vegas residency could be in jeopardy due to poor ticket sales.
According to Page Six, Lopez was reportedly offered a $90 million for a 90-show residency at the MGM Grand next year- that deal, however, may be on the rocks.
“MGM is watching her not doing well on the road. They are very nervous,” a source close to the situation said to the outlet. “It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas.”
We previously reported that Lopez reportedly canceled multiple stops on her tour. The singer announced the “This Is Me…Now,” tour, and since then- shows ranging from August 20 and 31 in cities including Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston have been canceled.
According to reports Lopez is still scheduled to perform about 30 shows, however a, large numbers of tickets remain unsold as seen on Ticketmaster.com.
The cancellation notice reads, “unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”
In an effort to “save” the tour- Variety reports that Lopez’ team made a small change to the branding. The “This Is Me… Now” tour now rebranded as “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits.”
Lopez has yet to speak on the tour or residency as of yet.
