With Robert Downey Jr. taking on the role of Dr. Doom at Marvel, Jonathan Majors reveals he’s deeply hurt by the sudden change.

Earlier this week, Marvel’s Comic-Con announcement revealed they’re scrapping Avengers: Kang Dynasty in favor of Dr. Doom. Jonathan Majors has now reacted, expressing that he’s “heartbroken” about the change. “Yeah, heartbroken. Of course,” Majors told TMZ. “I love Kang. Dr. Doom is wicked, though.”

“I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love, and that Mr. Miller has gotten the same treatment,” Majors continued, referencing the grace extended to both Robert Downey Jr. and Ezra Miller—both of whom auditioned for the role—despite their legal troubles. “And that they’re being allowed to work their art and be creative at that level… I didn’t really get that.”

When asked if he would return to the MCU as Kang, Majors responded enthusiastically, “Hell yeah! Hell yeah! Hell yeah! I love him. I love Kang. If that’s what the fans want, if that’s what Marvel wants, then let’s roll. Hell yeah.”

In March 2023, Jonathan Majors was arrested on assault and harassment charges brought by his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. He was found guilty of two misdemeanors: assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. However, he was acquitted of two other charges: assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment. Majors was sentenced to probation and a one-year domestic violence treatment program.

In related news, Jonathan Majors recently hinted at a possible engagement with his girlfriend, Meagan Good.

When asked by TMZ if he was planning to propose, Majors responded, “Ooh! Ooh! Of course! Of course!”

The relationship update comes despite Meagan Good’s admission that her friends were skeptical about her relationship with Majors. While promoting her film “Divorce in the Black,” Good explained, “I take everyone’s opinion and advice into account, for sure, but at the end of the day, I’m the one who has to live my life.”
