Despite Kanye West‘s succes with The Life Of Pablo (TLOP), its album cover didn’t get the same praise, according to Rolling Stone. On Friday (July 19), RS released its “The 50 Worst Album Covers of All Time” list. West’s unfortunately made the top 10. The cover has black text, reading “Life Of Pablo,” with an orange background. It also featured two photos, one from a wedding, and the other of his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.

“The Kanye Conundrum: Does he mean it? In this case, does he actually believe that this is a compelling album cover, or is he trying to push an eyesore aesthetic so far that it goes around the bend and becomes art” the article reads.”Or is he just too distracted by the squirrels inside his head to care? The answer: It doesn’t matter!” TLOP is the No.7 for the worst album cover ever, per the list.

‘The Life Of Pablo’ Is The Seventh Worst Album Cover Ever

The article continues: “Just like Ye said actual antisemitic things, and you don’t have to waste your time parsing whether he was being “ironic,” you can say that whatever his intentions were, this album got hit by the ugly stick, and then move on.” Along with West’s cover, Cappadonna’s, Black Tarrzann, Dolly Parton’s, Bubbling Over, Three Dog Night’s, Hard Labor, Ted Nugget’s Love Grenade, Crosby, Stills & Nash’s, Live It Up, Creed’s, Weathered, Roger Daltrey, Ride a Rock Horse, Limp Bizkit’s, Presents Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, rounded out the top 10.

Realeased in 2016, The Life Of Pablo, ushered in a new era for Kanye West. The project earned five nominations at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Upon it’s release, it made to No.1 on the Billboard 200. TLOP has also been certified double platinum Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Guest features on the project included The-Dream, Kelly Price, Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, Kid Cudi, Desiigner, Rihanna, and more.
