In July 2024, Karrahbooo unexpectedly parted ways with the Concrete Boys crew, igniting a fiery online feud with her former mentor and label head,

Lil Yachty. For weeks, both sides exchanged heated accusations, drawing significant attention. As tensions eventually cooled, rumors began swirling that Karrahbooo had been officially dropped from the Concrete Recordz roster.

Today, however, Karrahbooo shattered that speculation while promoting her new track, “Bossy Boo.” In the YouTube description of the accompanying music video, she set the record straight.

Denying claims of being dropped, she accused the label of hindering her career by blocking her from releasing music and interfering with other professional opportunities.

“I didn’t get dropped,” she clarified. “I’m still signed, which is why I haven’t been able to release new music.”

Expanding on her grievances, she painted a picture of frustration and industry politics.

“I was advised not to drop this on my own and to go through the ‘label’—the same label that claimed they dropped me but refused to let me go. They’ve lied about me in the media, pushed away bookings, and blocked deals. This industry is weird and confusing. It’s messy as [f*ck] and wasting too much of my time. I tried doing it the ‘right way,’ but six months is long enough. I’m doing things my way now.”

The video for “Bossy Boo” showcases Karrahbooo’s determination to reclaim her career. With her friend and fellow rapper Anycia making a cameo and Kelis’ 2006 anthem “Bossy” sampled throughout, the track radiates defiance and self-empowerment. Despite the roadblocks, Karrahbooo appears poised to carve her own path, unafraid to confront industry challenges head-on.

This bold move signals a new chapter for Karrahbooo, one marked by resilience and creative independence. As “Bossy Boo” begins to gain traction, it’s clear she’s not letting behind-the-scenes drama overshadow her undeniable talent.
