The latest in the unsolved murder of Tupac Shakur.
Law enforcement built a case around Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis’ VLAD TV confession four years ago. They want to present it to a Las Vegas grand jury.
Yahoo reports Keefe D is facing “imminent charges concerning 2Pac’s murder. The grand jury hearing will take place in private, with a jury deciding whether or not the evidence found against him is solid enough to prosecute him next month, according to the report. The D.A. is looking at first-degree murder.
Nearly 30 years after Tupac’s murder, there was a major break last month. Metropolitan Police Department executed a search warrant of a gang member who said he was in the car when the prolific rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996.
The warrant said Keffe D was the target, and police searched electronic storage devices, audio recordings and more. Keffe D is a known affiliate of the South Side Compton Crips street gang and has been vocal about his involvement over the years. In 2019, he released a book, COMPTON STREET LEGEND, telling his story about being in the car when the gunman killed Tupac.
On the fatal night, a Cadillac pulled up beside 2Pac’s BMW and opened fire. Head of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, was in the car with the “Hail Mary” rapper and was slightly injured.
Keefe D’s nephew, Orlando Anderson, was a suspect, but he later died in a gang-related killing in LA. Keefe D was investigated, denied involvement but eventually gave police details about the case under a limited non-prosecution agreement.
Tupac spent his last moments at a Mike Tyson fight and was on his way to a club after. He died a week later in a Las Vegas hospital.
2Pac forever!
