The official trailer for the anticipated Tyler Perry and Netflix crime thriller, Mea Culpa, starring Kelly Rowland (Fantasy Football) and Trevante Rhodes (Mike) released on Wednesday (Jan. 24).
Written and directed by Tyler Perry, the film is about attorney Mea Harper (Rowland) defending artist Zyair Malloy (Rhodes), who is accused of murdering his girlfriend. Mea investigates her seductive client and gets caught in a dangerous world.
Mea Culpa is the fifth film release in Perry’s deal with Netflix. He signed a new multi-year first-look deal with Netflix last October that will have him write, direct and produce more features for the streaming giant.
Kelly Rowland starred in the 2022 film Fantasy Football with Marsai Martin and Omari Hardwick.
Mea Culpa hits Netflix on February 23.
