A Louisville hip-hop artist faced tragedy after a show on Saturday night (March 16), getting ambushed outside Caesars Southern Indiana Hotel & Casino.

Around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, 32-year-old LilDon Williams and his family pulled up at the Caesars casino in Elizabeth, Indiana. As per the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, a dark-colored car tailed them into the parking garage, lingering there for three hours. When Williams and his family left the casino, two individuals armed with rifles, masks, and gloves approached him, cornering and fatally shooting him, shared Harrison County Sheriff Nick Smith. Williams succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspects nabbed the victim’s car before fleeing. Authorities are looking for the stolen vehicle, described as a 2013 silver and black Dodge Charger with a louver in the rear window. Anyone who has spotted the car or knows its whereabouts is urged to contact 812-738-3911.

Sheriff Smith noted this was the first homicide at the casino, emphasizing that Williams was specifically targeted. “This was an isolated incident where an individual was targeted, hunted down, and executed,” he stated.

The casino has provided security footage to assist in the probe. It extends condolences to Williams’ family and urges anyone with information to contact the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

During a news conference, Williams’ family members expressed grief and shared memories of him. “He made his music, made his clothes, and he took care of his daughter,” remarked Erica Williams, LilDon’s sister, speaking of her younger brother.

LilDon’s wife, Rannisha Williams, lamented his loss, describing him as a hardworking father who didn’t deserve such a fate. Another family member highlighted LilDon’s dedication to his job at a Ford plant in Louisville while pursuing his music passion, noting he was on the verge of releasing an album.

“He didn’t deserve it,” expressed Rannisha Williams, echoing the sentiment of many. “His daughter didn’t deserve this. He did not deserve to get gunned down like he did.”
