Kodak Black recently delivered a memorable pep talk to a youth football team, advising them to steer clear of drugs—but the reason might surprise you.

In a video that’s gone viral, the “Super Gremlin” rapper gave a motivational speech to a little league team in Florida, but his advice was anything but ordinary—turns out, staying away from drugs because they’re “too good” was just the start!

“Say no to drugs, they too good. Y’all gone like them and go crazy,” he told the kids, prompting laughter from some of the adults watching on.

He continued: “This right here will teach y’all discipline and all that good shit. You gotta go to school to you play football. You gotta have your education. This is what you’ll learn: team, brotherhood and all that.

“You know what team means? Team means Together Everyone Achieve More. Ain’t no one bigger than the team.”

Yak’s recent comments echo those he made in June during a Los Angeles show, where he revealed that he used to take “100 Percs a day” and regretted rapping about fake Percocets.

“It’s sad though, bruh, because it’s like that shit—the bar came to mind so quick. I’m like, ‘Damn, I don’t wanna say this shit, but I know this bitch gon’ go in.’ But we ain’t gon’ play like that, bruh,” he said. “When I was at my stage, chewing on them Percs, I ain’t gonna say I popped them bitches. But when I was at my stage, I was chewing like—bruh, I swear to God, and my n*ggas will vouch—I was chewing 100 Percs a day, man. Average like 40. Average!”

He continued: “Bruh, I say that, I’m explaining myself now. I don’t want y’all to hear that and take that and feel like it’s okay to do that sh*t, ya feel me?”

Over the years, Kodak Black has faced allegations of drug use, including cocaine and oxycodone. While he has firmly denied using cocaine, he has previously admitted to abusing Percocets, which he was prescribed following a leg injury in 2022.
