Fans can now get the inside scoop on Latto’s Sugar Honey Ice Tea directly from the rap diva herself.
On Tuesday (August 6), the Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to tease a new hotline for her upcoming album release. In the video, a super-excited young fan dials the number, only to be thrilled when Latto herself—sort of—answers the call. The prerecorded message continues with Latto expressing her heartfelt gratitude to her fans.
“☎️Hit me 701-922-SHIT,” she wrote in the caption.
In a follow-up post on Wednesday (August 7), Latto dropped the full track list for Sugar Honey Ice Tea, and it’s packed with a star-studded lineup, including Coco Jones, Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, Mariah the Scientist, Teezo Touchdown, and more.
“When the album drop pls listen in order & don’t skip big mama just cuz it’s already out I put a lot of effort into the sequence 🙂,” the caption reads.
In related news, Ice Spice recently weighed in on her ongoing feud with Latto, boldly claiming that the rivalry is entirely one-sided.
Speaking to Rolling Stone before the release of Y2K! the Bronx rap star revealed, “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.
“I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny.”
She also implied she’s living rent-free in Latto’s head, saying, “Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you?
“But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me … again.”
Latto recently made it clear in a magazine cover story that she doesn’t see Ice Spice as a worthy contender in the rap space.
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’ma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that?,” she told Billboard.
“I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”
