Latto may be celebrating her achievement as the first woman to headline Atlanta’s Birthday Bash concert, but she didn’t miss the opportunity to throw shade at Ice Spice. Before her performance on Saturday, June 22nd, the Atlanta rapper posted a picture of her team presenting her with a congratulatory cake. One of the cakes featured a poop emoji with the message, “Holy sh*t, you’re Headlining,” clearly aimed at Ice Spice. Latto further emphasized the point with her caption, “Think I’m the sh*t, bi**h?????,” referencing Spice’s single “Think U the Sh*t (Fart).” Fans of both artists have interpreted this as a diss.
Earlier in June, Latto also took a swipe at the Bronx rapper with a remix of her viral track, “Sunday Service,” featuring Flo Milli and Megan Thee Stallion. Latto opens the remix with the chorus and reiterates her original bars, which were speculated to target Ice Spice. She uses Spice’s signature ad-lib to mock her, rapping, “Every time y’all book me with them h*es, it’s gon’ be big drama (Grrah).”
During her Birthday Bash performance, Latto pulled out all the stops to honor her hometown. She invited special guests like Roscoe Dash, 21 Savage, Mariah the Scientist, Crime Mob, Rasheeda, Anycia, Summer Walker, and Usher for surprise performances. Usher took a moment to praise Latto, telling her and the audience, “You know, we have this thing that we do in Atlanta, where we just seem to keep making history. Tonight, Latto made history, being the first female to [headline] Birthday Bash. We wanna give her, her flowers, one time.”
