Ever the diva, it’s no surprise that Lil Kim pulled up to Christian Siriano’s recent show a tad late during New York’s Fashion Week. While the September 7th show was scheduled to begin at 4:30, the Hard Core rapper arrived over 40 minutes later, Page Six reports. Kim left the crowd in awe when she entered the room, flanked by bodyguards. She donned a glittery, light gold jacket and matching corset, with black tights. Upon her arrival, she was quickly escorted to her seat and was reportedly very kind to those in attendance.
A rep for Siriano says she couldn’t believe when Kim complimented her by saying, “You are amazing! Don’t let anyone ever tell you differently,” a source told Page Six. Lil Kim’s impact on music and fashion continues to live on. Her influence couldn’t be more evident with the female rappers of today. In Latto’s opinion, she’s one of the greatest to touch a mic. During an episode of Complex’s “GOAT Talk.” The “Put It On Da Floor” hitmaker, accompanied by her sister Brooklyn, shared her admiration for the Brooklyn native while discussing various topics. “The GOAT is Lil’ Kim, for sure,” Latto said. “She’s a fashion icon with timeless music and unforgettable looks. She’s a permanent fixture in not just rap, but in female rap specifically.”
Lil Kim Headlining Atlanta’s AIDS WALK FESTIVAL
On the music front, Lil Kim will be heading to Atlanta soon ahead of the city’s 33rd annual AIDS Walk Music Festival. Scheduled for September 28th at Piedmont Park, the event will feature performances by Kim alongside DJ Durand Bernarr. The festival will follow a 5K run/walk through Atlanta’s Midtown area and aims to raise awareness and support for the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS.
This marks the second time Lil Kim has headlined an event of this nature; she previously performed at the AIDS Walk and Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, back in 2021.
