On Thursday (March 2), Lil Pump took to his Instagram to take credit for Elon Musk becoming the world’s richest man again.
“Everybody talking about how Elon Musk is the richest man in the world again,” the “Gucci Gang rapper said in a video posted on his page. “You know why? Because on February 24 I dropped ‘Tesla’ and that same day the stocks went up 6 percent, and two days later it went up 11 percent. So Elon Musk, I love you, send me five Teslas.”
Last month, Lil Pump released his latest single, “Tesla,” featuring longtime collaborator Smokepurpp. In the comment section of the post, the “RR” rapper cosigned Lil Pump’s request to Musk, writing, “Facts, I want mine [in] green @lilpump, ELON [where you at].”
According to Bloomberg‘s tally, Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla, Inc., SpaceX and Twitter, has regained his spot as the world’s richest person. The 51-year-old briefly lost the title to Bernard Arnault, CEO of French luxury brand LVMH, when he reportedly lost $2 billion due to a decline in Tesla share prices. Musk’s net worth was nearly $187.1 billion as of Feb. 27 after markets closed, topping the $185.3 billion fortune of Arnault by a few.
