Lil Wayne has long solidified himself as a G.O.A.T. in hip hop. So it’s no surprise that an old notebook filled with lyrics from his early rapping days is on sale for $5,000,000. According to TMZ, the notebook is from the early 90s and was initially listed at $250,000. However, the company behind the sale, Moments in Time, defended the price increase, noting Wayne’s legendary status. “‘We on Fire’” is the lead single from The Hot Boys’ album Guerrilla Warfare,” the website reads.

“The original version, which appeared on Hot Boys’ The Guerrilla Warfare version features B.G. ‘We on Fire’ was the turning point in 1999 which made the world recognize the true sound of a group known as ‘HotBoys.’” The post continues: “This was the 2nd Single for the ‘HotBoys’ but the 1st to put them on the map. Written & recorded in 1998 while on tour. Lil Wayne was 15 years old and his whole world changed after this song was recorded making it his most significant song.”

Lil Wayne Scores Double Residency In Vegas

The news is surprising because the company had a difficult dispute with Wanye about its initial 2019 release. However, Moments in Time won their bitter legal battle and proceeded with selling the project as they wished. On a happier note, Lil Wayne scored his first-ever dual residency in June. The New Orleans native is expected to dazzle audiences at the Zouk Nightclub and Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Lil Wayne to Zouk Las Vegas. His dynamic performances and legendary status make him the perfect artist to launch this transformative residency, said Joe Lopez, Vice President of Zouk, in a statement. “We look forward to providing an unparalleled nightlife experience for all to enjoy this monumental artist. Dustin Drai, President of Drai’s Management Group, told  Baller Alert that they were excited to extend their partnership with Weezy. “We cannot wait to continue our longstanding relationship with Lil Wayne and have him return as a resident artist at Drai’s. We could not align with a more dynamic artist to welcome this debut residency partnership.”
