After speculation over the weekend, Lil Yachty confirmed that Karrahbooo, the first lady of the Concrete Boys, has departed from the label. He shared the news during a live stream on Sunday (July 29). The reasons behind the exit remain unknown.
Fans began to notice Karrahbooo’s departure with her sudden removal from the Concrete Boys’ Instagram bio and she was no longer listed as a member. It was then discovered that Karrahbooo had unfollowed Lil Yachty and the rest of the group on social media.
“How do I wanna say this,” said Yachty during Sunday’s Instagram Live. “I’mma say this sht one time. We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sh*t.”
According to him, there were no hard feelings between Karrahbooo and the rest of the group and he wished her continued success. “I have nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career,” he explained.
Yachty did not elaborate on why Karrahbooo left, stating that he would only address it once. “We just split, you know?” he said.
Karrahbooo appeared on the Concrete Boys compilation album released in early 2024. She has made a name for herself with buzzing tracks “Running Late,” “Not Da 2,” and “Splash Brothers” featuring Anycia.
Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo have clashed before. In 2023, Karrahbooo faced backlash for using the N-word in her music. Yachty sided with her critics despite her mixed heritage.
On the Safe Space podcast, Karrahbooo expressed frustration with the ongoing controversy. “I do get kinda annoyed how everyday somebody’s commenting, ‘Why do y’all keep letting her say n**ga?’,” she said. “So why don’t y’all go ahead and defend me to everybody right now?”
However, Lil Yachty did not come to her defense. “That won’t happen,” he explained. “You shouldn’t say it.”
Currently, Karrahbooo has not commented on her departure from the Concrete Boys.
