Lil Yachty seems to be throwing shade at Kendrick Lamar in the wake of Drake’s scathing diss track “Euphoria.” Following the song’s release on April 30, Lil Boat, who was mentioned in the track and shares a close bond with Drake, liked a post on X (formerly Twitter) that brought up Kendrick’s past infidelity. The post referenced Kendrick’s attack on Drake, questioning who was taking care of his child while he allegedly cheated on his wife with white women.
On the track, Kendrick taunted, “Why would I call around tryna get dirt on n-ggas? Y’all think all my life is rap? That’s ho shit, I got a son to raise, but I can see you don’t know nothin’ ’bout that.” After fans noticed Lil Yachty’s like, he claimed it was accidental, writing, “Shit was an accident lmao.” Responding to a user’s video suggesting he was in trouble, Yachty replied with laughing emojis.
Kendrick Lamar had previously admitted to cheating on his long-time partner Whitney Alford, with whom he has two children, on his 2022 album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.” He confessed to his infidelity and the pain it caused, reflecting on his actions and seeking forgiveness.
In “Euphoria,” Lil Yachty is implicated in some of the criticism aimed at Drake, suggesting he’s responsible for aspects of Drake’s recent work. This implication comes amidst Drake and Yachty’s close collaborative relationship, evidenced by their joint efforts on songs like “Another Late Night” from Drake’s 2023 album “For All the Dogs.”
As a frequent collaborator, Lil Yachty has contributed to several of Drake’s tracks, showcasing their strong musical partnership.
