Speaking with local news, ABC 13, Links recounted how it all started with a TikTok video shared by her niece Anna Mills, showcasing her family’s epic surprise: Ludacris concert tickets for her birthday. The video blew up, catching Ludacris’s attention and prompting him and his team to send merch and backstage passes. “They sent merch to us, they gave us backstage passes then,” Mills shared, proving that TikTok magic really does work.
Ludacris’s music has been a long-time passion for Links, who discovered him during car rides and found solace in his songs, especially during a tough hospital stay with COVID-19. “He saved my life there,” said Links.
The highlight of the concert was Ludacris personally singing “Happy Birthday” to Links. “It’s really all I could dream and so, we hugged and I’ll never forget how that felt,” she said. Mills credits social media for making the dream a reality, noting, “With TikTok, they were able to not just cross paths, but get to know each other, sit down and share a drink.”
Links concludes, “I am eternally grateful to him and his music.”
