Lupe Fiasco might need to catch up quickly before more fans get upset. Recently, Lupe faced backlash from Kendrick Lamar fans after hosting a Twitter Spaces event where he debated the role of hip-hop gatekeepers. This led to accusations of him being a hater. A few days later, Lupe returned to social media to clarify things with Joe Budden. Budden, now a podcaster, praised Lupe for being honest about the Kendrick versus Drake feud. However, Lupe made a surprising revelation: since Rick Ross’s “Champagne Moments,” a diss aimed at Drake, he hasn’t listened to any of the diss tracks, including “Family Matters,” “Not Like Us,” “meet the grahams,” “6:16 in LA,” and more. “I kinda tapped out,” Lupe admitted.

Budden jokingly suggested Lupe’s guest spot was out of pure hatred for Lamar, but Lupe insisted there was no bitterness toward his Californian peer. “I love Dot… I genuinely don’t have any issues, I really don’t,” he said. The “Lasers” rapper then made a public statement to dispel the rumors. “Joe Budden community, this is Lupe Fiasco. I do not have a problem. No matter what was said in the past, what you think happened, what happened, what didn’t happen. I personally and professionally do not have a problem with my brother in arms Kendrick Lamar.”

Lupe’s efforts to clear the air show his commitment to ending any misconceptions about his feelings toward Kendrick Lamar. Despite the controversies and misunderstandings, Lupe emphasizes his respect and lack of animosity towards Lamar, aiming to put these rumors to rest once and for all.
