Mariah The Scientist faces arrest following allegations of an unprovoked attack outside of an Atlanta lounge.
Per a police report from Fulton County, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, a woman by the name of Cleopatra Dues visited the Zone 2 precinct on Monday (March 29), alleging that she was assaulted by the “Spread Thin” artist the previous night, at the Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail lounge.
Dues alleges that Mariah grabbed her, forcibly removed her wig from her scalp, and then proceeded to drag her across tables and the floor, resulting in injuries to her legs and feet. She stated that she left the scene and called 911, expressing concerns for her safety to dispatchers.
Explaining the motive behind the alleged assault, Dues informed authorities that it remains unclear why Mariah The Scientist, whose real name is Mariah Buckles, attacked her. Dues claimed she had no prior interaction with the singer or her associates.
We previously reported that a video circulating on the internet appeared to show the singer involved in a scuffle with another woman, earlier this week. However, Mariah has neither confirmed nor denied whether she is the individual depicted in the video.
In a case of mistaken identity, Staten Island rapper Cleotrapa was initially identified as the alleged victim but swiftly dismissed the rumors on social media.
“LMFAOOOOOO yall really don’t know my résumé [laughing emoji] I will never be on camera fighting anyone! Just register that. I’ve worked with so many brands like stop playing with my name fr,” she wrote taking to X/Twitter.
Mariah was booked on a simple battery charge on Wednesday and was later released on bond,” the outlet reports. As of now, she has not commented on the incident.
