Megan Thee Stallion‘s highly-anticipated third album,  Megan, is set to release on June 28.

At the Atlanta stop of her Hot Girl Summer tour, the 29-year-old “Body” rapper surprised fans with the announcement. She revealed a QR code for fans to pre-save the upcoming LP on night one of the two-night concerts. With the announcement, Megan unveiled a surprise preview of the “Sunday Service” remix featuring Latto, Atlanta’s very own.

This news follows months after she kicked off a series of snake-themed singles, including “Cobra,” “Boa,” and “Hiss,” a Nicki Minaj diss track, the latter of which topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. The self-titled album will be Megan’s first under a new deal with Warner Music.

Megan announced her album after teaming up with GloRilla and Cardi B for a remix of “Wanna Be,” which they teased at Megan’s sold-out Madison Square Garden concert.

Tina Snow hinted at exploring new sounds while still maintaining her distinctive style. “It won’t feel like I went too far from my roots. It will still feel true to me,” she shared. “You might think, ‘I wouldn’t have thought she’d rap over that, but it sounds great.”

Before the announcement, Megan treated her fans to new music in May with her #MeganMonday freestyles “I Think I Love Her” and “Like a G6.”

Megan Thee Stallion is on the new cover of L’Officiel. In her cover story, she discussed the powerful symbolism of the snake motif in her new album.

“We don’t just stop at the snake,” she explained. “Renewal, rebirth: that is the whole concept of this album. Snakes are often misunderstood, especially in Western culture. They represent rebirth and spirituality. I’m not someone who is all about sunshine and bubbly happiness. I appreciate darker, unique things. The snake symbolizes an antihero, which resonates with me.”
