During her recent stop in Houston, Megan Thee Stallion brought out Bun B and paid homage to the late Pimp C. The UGK rapper passed away in 2007 at the age of 33. At one point during the electric set, Megan helped Bun B perform one of UGK’s biggest hits, “Int’l Players Anthem.”

The crowd roared as the pair performed the iconic track. Prior to that, during her show in Austin, the “WAP” rapper brought out another down south legend: Paul Wall. Last month, Megan Thee Stallion opened up about what fans can expect from her new album, Megan. In a new Interview with L’Officiel USAthe rapper says that her album focuses on a “rebirth” and the shedding of her past woes. “We don’t just stop at the snake,” she began.

Megan The Stallion Gearing Up For New Album, ‘Megan’

“This is just what everybody sees right now,” she tells the publication. She adds, “Renewal and rebirth are the album’s concept.” Ahead of the album’s upcoming release, the Houston hottie has dropped three singles, “Cobra,” “Hiss,” and “BOA. Megan says the project’s snake-inspired vibe comes from her love of reptiles and how they’re often misunderstood. “We started with the snake because, first of all, I love snakes, but I feel like snakes are so misunderstood, especially in western culture.”

She continues: “Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality.” The project’s expected release date is on Friday, June 28. Along with the upcoming album, the rapper also discussed how she’s been mentally. In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion was involved in an altercation with Tory Lanez, that left her with bullet fragments in her foot. Nearly two years later after a lengthy trial, Lanez was found guilty. The rapper says during that time she didn’t process her feelings correctly. “I was the type of person who worked through everything. Like, Forget it. I’m going to just go to work. Fill up my schedule. I want to do everything. I don’t even want to think about it.”
