Megan Thee Stallion is refuting serious allegations made against her in a new harassment lawsuit filed on Tuesday. Her lawyer, Alex Spiro, emphasized that this is strictly an employment claim for monetary compensation, with no sexual harassment allegations officially filed.
In response to the lawsuit, Spiro told Page Six exclusively, “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”
The lawsuit was filed by videographer Emilio Garcia in Los Angeles, where he accused Megan of creating a toxic work environment. Garcia claimed that during a tour stop in Ibiza, Spain, in June 2022, he witnessed Megan engaging in a sexual act with another woman inside a moving vehicle. This experience left him feeling traumatized.
“I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me,” Garcia shared with NBC News regarding the alleged incident.
Garcia asserted in the lawsuit that this experience led to mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and physical distress. He also alleged that Megan instructed him not to discuss what he witnessed. Subsequently, she reduced his pay by switching from a monthly rate to a “pay-per-task” system.
Furthermore, Garcia claimed that during the same trip to Spain, Megan body-shamed him by calling him derogatory names related to his weight. This left him feeling degraded.
Following his termination as Megan’s personal cameraman in June 2023, Garcia’s attorneys contended that it was a direct result of his complaints. They alleged these complaints were about alleged misconduct and inadequate payment.
In addition to Megan Thee Stallion, Garcia is suing Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment, Inc., Hot Girl Touring, LLC, and Roc Nation. He cites harassment and other alleged labor code violations in his lawsuit. Megan’s legal team is prepared to address these accusations in court as the case progresses.
