Metro Boomin recently paid homage to André 3000 by donning one of his legendary jumpsuits during a performance with Future. The We Don’t Trust You tour hit Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on September 3rd, where Metro made a notable fashion statement. While the show didn’t feature any surprise guests, Metro’s outfit stood out: a black jumpsuit with the phrase “Which type of stereo are you?” This look was reminiscent of the one André 3000 wore during OutKast’s 2014 reunion tour.

Following the show, Metro took to social media to share that the jumpsuit was actually André 3000’s own. He posted photos of himself in the outfit on Instagram, captioning, “Big thanks to the [goat emoji] @andre3000 for letting me hold 1 of his original and iconic tour jumpsuits.” On X (formerly Twitter), Metro reflected on his influences, writing, “I grew up watching wrestling and listening to Outkast,” underscoring his respect for the OutKast rapper.

Aside from his stylish tribute, Metro Boomin has been making waves with his charitable contributions during the We Trust You Tour. Throughout the 27-date tour, he has been donating $20,000 to each city, specifically to support single mothers. This effort is part of his Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes grant program, named after his late mother. The initiative began with a grant to Essential Families, a Kansas City non-profit, which also provided concert tickets to two mothers and their children.

Metro’s dedication to helping single mothers is not new. In 2022, he worked with the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation to honor single moms. He offered 26 mothers and their children a VIP experience at an Atlanta Falcons game. Earlier this year, he donated $100,000 to five non-profits in St. Louis. This donation helped women with debt and covered childcare and rent expenses. Now, his tour includes a tribute to André 3000 with an iconic jumpsuit. This gesture further highlights his dedication to impactful philanthropy.
