Metro Boomin says he has love and respect for Drake.

During a recent interview, Metro was asked about Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s battle. The producer says he believe a little competition is healthy for the culture. He also says he has no ill-feelings towards anyone.

“I have love and respect for all my collaborators,” he asserted. “I just want to see everybody do their best and continue to help push this forward.”

“You’re supposed to feel like you’re the best,” Boomin expressed. “With two of the top dogs in the game and you both feel like you’re the best… we gotta have a showdown.”

The producer went on to say he feels like the internet took the battle too far by picking a side. “It’s more like Stan culture,” he noted. “It makes it kind of weird.”
