Keyshia Cole decided to try something new with music.
However, it’s getting mixed reactions from fans.
The R&B singer dropped a snippet of a drill track. Hot New Hip Hop reports the song is called “Real Me.” Ironically, the sound is entirely different than what fans are used to hearing. In the caption, Keyshia wrote, “Drill drip was cute.”
Take a listen to a preview of the song, shared by the TSR blog:
Some fans were feeling it, others were confused. One Twitter user wrote, “I’m sick of drill music but Keyshia Cole made a hard ass drill song.” However, in the flip side, another person said, “Keyshia cole thought she was gon give us drill r&b and we were gonna take it???”
Someone else commented, “Ctfu I’m laughing because yeah when did Keyshia Cole ever do drill music wtf going on.” Meanwhile, another fan urged KC to drop the song and said, “Keyshia Cole better drop that R&B drill song before someone else does…”

Last year, Keyshia announced she’s retiring from music. She said she’ll still give fans another album, around that time she said it would be called Album 8. She said, “”I’m gonna have to move at my pace with this one. #Album8.” t’s not clear if she’s still going with that title, or if the drill song will be on it.
Earlier this year, she collaborated with ex NFL player, Antonio Brown on his album Paradigm for the song “Don’t Leave.” They seemingly sparked romance as they were spotted getting cozy until AB put her on blast. The drama started when KC posted on social media that she misses AB. He responded on social media with harsh words, “You Ain’t Pimpin Until You Hit An RnB Diva.”
