According to reports, King Von’s suspected killer, Lul Tim, had his murder charges dropped. XXL reports that Tim’s attorney concluded that any murder prosecutions regarding King Von’s death will be dismissed as of Sunday (August 20). Due to the abundance of online discussion surrounding Tim’s dropped charges, his attorney said in a statement, “The case against Mr. Leeks was dismissed prior to ever being indicted.”
After a fight with his peers and Quando Rondo’s crew, King Von was shot outside an ATL club, leaving six people injured and three dead. Tim was one of the six injured that night and was later apprehended for the murder of King Von in March 2021. Eventually, Tim posted a $100,000 bond for his release. In a tweet, King Von’s former partner, Asian Doll, shed light on this saying: “Because the police said Tim ain’t kill him the police did.”
In a sit-down with Angela Yee in 2021, Quando Rondo got real about the fatal altercation, asserting that he and his squad retaliated in self-preservation mode following an assault from King Von’s crew. “I’m thinking these were some regular individuals,” “So I’m letting this group come by. Next thing you know, a n***a hit me. Boom bow. I lie to you not. It’s like I had an out-of-body experience,” said Rondo. In October 2022, Tim found himself back behind bars due to a range of separate drug allegations. These charges stemmed from a rapid pursuit with law enforcement in Georgia.
In the realm of music, King Von’s inaugural album after his passing, titled “What It Means To Be King,” was released last year. The album made a powerful debut, claiming the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. In its initial week, the album garnered impressive sales of 59,000 album-equivalent units. Continuing the momentum, Von’s estate treated fans to “Grandson” this July. Circling back to Tim, he made a triumphant return on Monday, August 21, unveiling a fresh track titled “Left a Stain,” where he delves into his perspective of the murder case.
