N.O.R.E. has some words for Dame Dash. The former Roc-A-Fella CEO threw shade at his podcast and JAY-Z for accusations that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.
During an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Dash shared his thoughts about JAY-Z’s legal dilemma. He also claimed that N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast covers for the ROC Nation CEO.
Dash said that JAY-Z needs support from the “white media” to get him on the right track. Podcasts like N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs are already on his side.
“Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he does,” Dash argued.
“So he got to get to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight right now ’cause they on his head,” he continued.
In his Instagram Stories, N.O.R.E. wrote “Lame dash, more clueless than Stacey,” referring to Dash’s cousin.
N.O.R.E. then dropped a video blasting Dash over his remarks
“You’ve been coming at me and you think I ain’t got time. I’m not like these other people. I got time,” N.O.R.E. said.
“No one’s trying to disrespect you. We tryna show you love but you keep coming at everybody. If you got beef with one person, you supposed to keep that beef with one person,” N.O.R.E. went on. “You got beef with everybody around [JAY-Z].”
“You became the Lame Dash. We don’t wanna disrespect you. And I’m trying not to as much as I can because I actually respect the sh*t out of you.”
N.O.R.E. continued: “You became the lame chatty patty person that you said you were against. “Get your life together. My number’s the same if you wanna work it out.”
This is not the first time the N.O.R.E. and Dash have had a public disagreement. Dash said that he helped N.O.R.E. when he was having troubles at Def Jam.
“When Def Jam was robbing him for his marketing money, I stepped in and I went up to Def Jam, confronted Lyor [Cohen] and Kevin [Liles], and demanded they give him what he deserved,” Dash claims. “And they did. Did I ask for a dollar? No.”
N.O.R.E. downplayed Dash’s recollection of the events.
“If he wanted money, he could’ve asked,” N.O.R.E. responded. “I don’t even remember if he got paid. But I know when I helped him with his reggaeton records, I didn’t ask for a dime. I’m not worried about money now.”
