J. Prince has an idea…but it would require some help from the hip-hop community.
J. Prince wants hip-hop power players to boycott the Grammys and host a show the night of the Awards.
On social media, the Rap-A-Lot Records founder sounded off in a voice recording on the recording academy for banning Kanye from performing due to his behavior online amid Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson drama. In the recording, J. Prince called Grammy organizers “slave masters.” He said, “I’ve been watching the Grammys control and dictate our culture to their benefit up close and personal for the past 30 years.” He continued,
“And all the artists, managers and executives would do is complain, but never have the nuts to come together to do anything about it.” He went on to say,“This is a slave master, punish a n*gga mentality and act to remind us that no matter how much money we have, we’re still niggas in their eyes.” He went on, “So they cancel Kanye and discriminated against Drake, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj and many others over the years. This will only be broken by us uniting our powers to bring about change moving forward.”
According to J. Prince, the solution would be for artists like Kanye, Drake, Nicki, and more to unite and hold a hip-hop concert in Las Vegas on the same night as the Grammy Awards. Artists except Nicki haven’t publicly responded as of yet. The Queen put “respect” with a prayer emoji under Prince’s post.
on a special network and streaming platform to prove that ratings will change where the Grammys are concerned when the #1 selling genre in the music – HIP HOP – comes together because there’s power in numbers.

Social media reactions:
J.Prince's idea of the biggest Rap artists putting on a show the same day/time as the Grammy's is long overdue. Eat their food and make them beg you to join them again.

Anyone who knows me knows that winning a Grammy has been a huge dream of mine, but I’m with J Prince on this one. Question is, can we follow through? 💎 https://t.co/mcIVx7Zx2W

J Prince’s words hold an indescribable amount of weight. I hope he’s able to bring his Anti-Grammy event to life because it would have massive ramifications for the industry (for the better)

That's a great idea from J Prince when it comes to the Grammy's. It's not just about boycotting it but performing at the same time too? He onto something with this one
