Nikki Glaser jokes about Chris Brown‘s abusive past and women getting cosmetic injections to retain youth in her new HBO comedy special released earlier this month.
In the new hour-long special, the buzzing 39-year-old comedian joked about Hollywood’s treatment of older women, referencing the 35-year-old entertainer for shock value.
“Hollywood is not very kind to older women,” Glaser says at 40:11. “Sex sells. If you’re saggin’, they’re gaggin’. That’s what my agent texts me every day, and I go, ‘I know.’ I do everything I can to stay young-looking. I really do. I do Botox. I do filler. Sometimes, I do too much filler, and I look like the guy from the ‘Saw’ movies – who gives the challenges. I do lasers and micro-needling, and those things are so harsh on your skin. I recently got micro-needled, and I couldn’t leave the house for three days because if I did, it looked like I got mouthy in a car ride with Chris Brown.”
Glaser’s joke refers to the infamous felony assault by the R&B singer who attacked Rihanna, his then-girlfriend, in 2009. Brown was sentenced to five years probation after the assault in 2009. Brown has repeatedly discussed the altercation with Rihanna on Hot 97, with other celebrities such as Jordin Sparks and Kelly Rowland speaking up for him.
The audience had a mixed reaction of shock and laughter as Glaser continued to finish the joke. “It looked like I was trying to give him directions where he knew where he was going,” she says.
Glaser then noticed an audience member’s reaction and asked, “Are you groaning?”
She apologized several times and finished the joke: “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry to offend any Chris Brown fans. I mean… I mean, I look like Chris Brown loves me very, very much and just wants what’s best for me.”
Nikki Glaser also appeared in Tom Brady’s Roast on Netflix, which featured the crowd booing Kim Kardashian.
Glaser’s joke follows Quavo reference’s to Chris Brown’s abusive past on his diss tracks “Over Hoes & Bitches” and “Tender.” Brown and Quavo have been feuding since 2017 over Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. In their new diss tracks aimed at each other, they have mentioned Karrueche and Quavo’s ex-girlfriend Saweetie. Brown also claimed to have had a relationship with Saweetie while she was with Quavo.
