After the raid on Diddy’s South Beach mansion in March and the release of 2016 surveillance video, Miami has rescinded its recognition of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Day.

On Wednesday, the Miami Herald reported that the Miami Beach Commission revoked its recognition of the day dedicated to entertainers, October 13, after New York City recalled its proclamation earlier this month. The decision was made without debate.

Combs, 54, often called himself a “King of Miami” in the early 2000s. In Miami Beach, he purchased properties, shot music videos, and supported charitable events. In 2014, Combs held the inaugural Revolt Music Conference in the city.

Diddy faces several lawsuits over sexual assault. In November 2023, he settled a lawsuit with ex-girlfriend and recording artist Cassie Ventura for an undisclosed amount. He is currently under investigation by the federal government for sex trafficking allegations.

The mogul’s legal drama grows as more lawsuits have been filed. The latest lawsuit includes a model named Crystal McKinney, who has accused Diddy of drugging and sexually assaulting her at a New York studio in 2003.

The mountain of accusations has cost Diddy brand partnerships with Peleton, America’s Best Contacts and Eyewear, Macy’s, and more. Earlier this month, Diddy’s shares in Revolt were handed over to the company’s employees.

Since the raid and lawsuits, Diddy has been seen in various spots across the country, most recently in Los Angeles. He recently scrubbed his social media accounts, including a post proclaiming his innocence of wrongdoing and an apology for his actions in the 2016 hotel surveillance footage.

Yung Miami, Meek Mill, LeBron James, and Kesha are among the celebrities to unfollow Diddy amid the allegations. Since the allegations went public, 50 Cent has constantly trolled the mogul on social media.

50 Cent is currently developing a tell-all documentary including alleged victims of Diddy.
