Noochie, born Antwon Vincent, began recording his “Front Porch Freestyles” in 2017. In the beginning, the creator created the content using an iPhone. The consistency and popularity led to all-star performances off the porch. With 8177, Noochie was able to help him not only with his music career but also with his “Front Porch” series.
Noochie aims to use the platform as a tool to tell the untold narrative of Black America. He said: “It was about me being heard and just trying to figure out my place at first but now it’s about more than just music, it’s about storytelling, connection, and celebrating the authentic Black experience. I wanted to give artists a space that felt personal, where the front porch becomes a stage for culture and raw talent. It’s not just a performance, it’s a moment to honor where we come from while building a platform that amplifies our voices.”
LFTFP co-founder Ryan Joy followed Noochie’s statement with, “The Front Porch is a real and relatable space, created by a talented independent artist, and hosting these incredible classic catalogs, I felt it deserved to be shared with the world and would resonate with fans who want authentic performances and a higher level of cultural experiences.”
“The one thing I love to do is help to make sure that our culture is highlighted and never allow it to be boxed in,” Greg Gavin, LFTFP co-founder, wrote in the press release.
