Footage resurfaces from a 2020 traffic stop involving Lil Baby, for having tint on his windows. As the clip made its rounds on social media, fans offered their own hilarious reactions to the situation. In the video, a police officer approaches the rapper to inform him that the tint on his windows is too dark. In response, Lil Baby tells the officer that he is a celebrity and the tint helps him have some privacy. “Man, I’m a celebrity. Man, nobody can’t see me through my tint. Give me my ticket. Let me ride,” he told the officer.

Many fans agreed with how the “We Paid” rapper handled the situation. “Rather catch a ticket than get robbed any day no problem. Write the ticket officer. Keep it moving,” one fan wrote in a post on X. Whereas, another user noted that because the QC artist is famous, he needs to keep a “low profile.” One person acknowledges how both the officer and Lil Baby kept it cool. “Honestly, this is understandable Cool interaction to see,” they wrote.

“Give Me My ticket, Let Me Ride,” the rapper said

One user pointed out that Lil Baby’s comments reflect the “complexities and personal safety” of celebrities: “His preference for tinted windows in Atlanta speaks to a broader issue of privacy and security for public figures not really breaking the law intentionally,” they wrote. Someone else suggested that when the officer denied knowing Lil Baby he lied. “That cop know who he his he trying to play it off,” they wrote.

In other news, back in May, the rapper landed himself in a seemingly dangerous situation. While shooting a music video in Atlanta, a commotion led to gunfire on the set. The recording, obtained by TMZ, captures the chaos that ensued after shots were fired, revealing that one of the three victims was hit in the neck. According to TMZ, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between “two unknown parties” during the filming of the video by members of Lil Baby’s label, Quality Control. Lil Baby himself was not involved in the altercation.
