PnB Rock’s mother, Deannea Allen, has expressed her anger towards Freddie Trone, who is accused of her son’s murder, following his denial of involvement. Trone, 42, is facing trial for the murder of the Philadelphia rapper but has denied driving the car linked to the crime, even though it is registered in his name.

After Trone’s testimony at a Compton courthouse, Allen accused him of lying. “His lies are ridiculous. That is ridiculous,” she told Rolling Stone. “The surveillance should speak for itself. They’re trying to say they had nothing to do with it. It’s unacceptable.”

Allen reminisced about her son and their last conversation. “My son was a beautiful person. He tried to take care of everyone. Our last conversation was a half-hour when he was on his way to California. He told me about all the good things he was doing. He was just trying to be better, a little more conscious.”

In court, Trone denied being part of the murder, which is allegedly carried out by his 17-year-old son. The teenager has been found unfit to stand trial. Trone stated, “I understand you’re trying to put together your story. I never had nothing to do with it, I wasn’t there, I didn’t tell nobody to do nothing, I didn’t hand nobody no gun.”

Rakim Allen, known as PnB Rock, was shot and killed in September 2022 during a robbery at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in Los Angeles. Surveillance footage shows Trone in the parking lot about 30 minutes before the shooting. Prosecutors claim Tremont Jones informed Trone of Rock’s presence, leading to the robbery.

Witnesses said a masked man entered the restaurant, demanded Rock’s jewelry, and then shot him. PnB Rock was hit three times: once in the chest and twice in the back. Trone has repeatedly denied involvement, and his lawyer argues there is no evidence placing him at the scene, nor were any stolen items found, supporting his denial.
