Polo G was hit with a felony gun charge in Los Angeles over the weekend.
According to TMZ, Polo G, whose government name is Taurus Bartlett, was taken into custody over the weekend, and law enforcement discovered a loaded gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
The police report revealed that Polo G was allegedly speeding in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday (Oct 19). After being pulled by the authorities, he was charged with felony possession of a concealed weapon.
Over the last few years, the Chicago has had his fair share of run-ins with the law In April, a maid cleaning his room found a loaded Glock at the Dominick Hotel in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded to the hotel after the maid reported finding the loaded gun on a loveseat in Polo G’s room. Reportedly, the gun was loaded with a bullet in the chamber and nine bullets in the magazine.
Polo G has had several run-ins with the law over the past few years. Back in April, Polo was arrested for gun possession again in New York. That arrest came after a member of the cleaning staff at The Dominick Hotel located in downtown Manhattan discovered a gun in the 25-year-old rapper’s room and notified police. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
Last August, his home in L.A. was raided by police, and seven weapons were reportedly discovered.
Polo was also charged with battery on a police officer, criminal mischief, and other charges in Miami in June 2021.
Currently, Polo is still in custody and has not been granted bail. The arrest puts a snag in Polo’s upcoming touring schedule. He is slated to be in Denver on Thursday (Oct 24) to begin his Hood Poet Tour with Skilla Baby.
