Nipsey Hussle:
Eric Holder, the man who murdered Nipsey Hussle, was jumped in jail on his way to court. He reportedly got beat up badly. It’s unclear if the attack had anything to do with the trial; Eric’s public defender, Aaron Jensen, claims an unidentified inmate sucker-punched his client, but Eric was okay to continue. Eric did not testify in his defense. Everything depends on ‘whether his murder of Nipsey qualifies as premeditated, first-degree murder or an act carried out in the “heat of passion.” RIPOWER Nipsey Hussle.
Ray J:
Ray J is redeeming himself after an embarrassing Verzuz last week. The main battle was between Omarion and Mario, but Ray J stole the show with his “One Wish” performance. Ray J announced he’s taking vocal lessons with his dad.
Lil Tjay:
Lil Tjay is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after he was the victim in an attempted robbery last week. Rumors swirled that he was fighting for his life, we can’t independently confirm that, but he’s reportedly still in the hospital, “awake,” “alert,” & off his breathing tube. Police arrested three men; a man named Mohamed Konate was the alleged triggerman.
Yung Miami/Diddy:
Yung Miami faced criticism after holding a “go Papi” sign for Diddy at the BET awards. The Bad Boy mogul was the recipient of the 2022 lifetime achievement award. During his speech, he thanked “special women” in his life, like his mom, His late ex/ mother of three children, Kim Porter. He also thanked his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, who is now married with children, for holding him down in “dark times.”
Diddy is letting the world know Yung Miami is special to him, a few days later, he wrote an online message and praised Yung Miami for the Go Papi sign, calling it the “one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for him.”
P Valley:
Comedian Lil Duval had some criticism About the Starz hit series, P Valley. In one of the episodes, there’s a steamy sex scene between two men. Lil Duval claims he lost interest in the show after watching that. Writer and co-executive producer Patrik-Ian Polk, responded to Lil Duval and advised him to watch another show because he said quote, the gay ain’t going nowhere.
R. Kelly:
After two decades of sexual abuse accusations & a five-week federal trial, disgraced R&B singer R Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison. R Kelly didn’t speak during the trial, but the court heard testimonies from survivors that he sexually or physically abused.
Supporters of R. Kelly are still riding hard for the 3x Grammy award winner. Boosie thinks 30 years is too long. Joycelyn Savage, who was considered a victim, is sticking by R Kelly’s sister, also wrote a letter to the court and revealed they’re engaged.
Azriel Clary, an ex-gf of R Kelly, who once appeared in an interview with Joycelyn, defending Kelly, but later testified against him, wrote an interesting message on social media & said, “The Devil Don’t Play Fair, But God Do.”
Ketanji Brown Jackson:
Ketanji Brown Jackson was officially sworn in as the 116th Justice of the Supreme Court; as we all know, she’s the first African American woman to grace the bench in the highest court in the land.
