Rick Ross had a challenging evening during his show in Canada, culminating in a physical altercation that was caught on camera. After performing at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday, Rick got into a heated argument around 10:30 PM over ending the set with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
After the performance, Rick was confronted by a group of about 15 men who formed a barrier, preventing him and his crew from moving. Video footage obtained by TMZ shows Rick engaging in a tense verbal exchange with one of the men. The argument quickly escalated when the man suddenly struck Rick, causing his drink to spill. It’s unclear if Rick was hit directly in the face.
The situation rapidly devolved into chaos, with the two groups engaging in a brawl. Several men were seen brutally kicking and punching another individual. Eventually, the fight dispersed, and everyone went their separate ways. The cause of the altercation remains unknown, and it’s unclear if anyone was injured or arrested. Authorities have been contacted for updates.
Rick Ross’s representative did not provide a comment on the incident. However, Drake, also known as “champagnepapi,” appeared to acknowledge the event by liking a post about Rick’s assault on social media.
Despite the brawl, Rick Ross remains unfazed, telling TMZ that “Vancouver is a beautiful city and he can’t wait to go back.” He also mentioned that no one from his team sustained serious injuries, adding a lighthearted comment about the “2024 Rap Wars.”
