Rick Ross is facing a lawsuit from an attendee at his recent Car & Bike Show, claiming it lacked accessibility. The plaintiff, Darris Straughter — who’s wheelchair-bound — alleges after contacting the event organizers and making transportation arrangements, his shuttle never arrived. TMZ reports Straughter received “multiple assurances” that a shuttle would pick him up from the parking lot and take him to the event venue.
However, after waiting for several hours, the shuttle never arrived. Additionally, Straughter and his attorney, John Hoover, Esq., say they were promised a refund but never received it. He is suing the Maybach Music CEO for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. In addition, he’s seeking damages and requesting a new requirement for the car show to provide better access for disabled persons in the future. Straughter isn’t the only one asking for Rick Ross to pay up.
Rick Ross’ Ex Wants Him To Fund Their Son’s College Education
Tia Kemp, the rapper’s ex and baby momma, is demanding he fund their son’s college education. The pair’s son, William Robert III is attending Bethune-Cookman University this fall. In a TikTok video, Tia showed a document with the tuition cost of $209,931.58 and urged him to call Ross. “I ain’t playing,” she said.
“I need you to call your daddy right now. You tell him. You screenshot this right now, that right there and you tell him that’s how much I need in my bank account.” Tia is adamant Ross should pay the full amount and mentioned his ownership of nearly 30 Wingstop locations across the U.S. “I ain’t talking no $20,000. I’m sick of them little $20,000,” she said. “I’m sick of those 20-piece wings. I need 200-something thousand wings. You tell him there’s a bunch of 0’s behind that. Not a 20-piece.”
