Rapper Russ has plenty to celebrate thanks to the sequel to his 2019 release, It’s All In Your Head.
“OFFICIALLY A NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR!!!!! Thank you to the team at Harper Collins and thank you to my fans!!!! Yall are the best 🙏,” he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), alongside a snapshot listing his latest title ranked in the no. 7 spot of The New York Times Bestsellers, Advice, How-To, & Misc.
Titled It Was You All Along, the book takes inspiration from Russ’ most recent album of the same name, which he’s currently touring throughout the U.S., Europe, and the U.K. Because why stop at music when you can inspire literary masterpieces while on tour?
Not only did the “3:15” rapper grace NYT’s coveted list, but his literary treasure has also climbed to the top of Amazon’s No.1 bestsellers list for rap and Hip Hop musician biographies.
According to an overview of the publication, fans can expect “chapters named after his most powerful and popular songs, IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD will reflect on the lessons he’s learned from his career, family, and relationships.”
Further, “He’ll push readers to bet on themselves, take those leaps of faith, and recognize struggles as opportunities. With illustrations throughout consistent with the brand Russ has built and his fan base loves, IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD will give readers an inside-look at the man and the motivation behind the music.”
On the flip side, It’s All In Your Head highlights key moments throughout his life — involving stardom family, and relationships — that have shaped him into the man he is today.
But wait, there’s more. The “Lose Control” rhymer also drops wisdom bombs on how individuals can push through obstacles and tap into ways to “unlock” their potential.
Russ joins the likes of Logic, Common, Jeezy, and Rick Ross (among others) — all of which have graced The New York Times Bestseller List.
